The Crow and the Pitcher

12. The Crow and the Pitcher

One hot summer day, a thirsty crow was flying around in search of water. After a long search, he finally spotted a pitcher in a garden. Excited, he swooped down to see if there was any water inside.

When the crow arrived at the pitcher, he peered inside, only to find that there was very little water at the bottom. The crow tried to tilt the pitcher and reach the water, but it was too heavy. He then tried to push it over, but that didn’t work either. Frustrated, the crow thought for a moment and came up with a clever idea.

The crow noticed some pebbles scattered around the garden. He picked up one pebble at a time with his beak and dropped them into the pitcher. With each pebble he added, the water level rose a little higher.

After dropping in enough pebbles, the water finally reached the top. The crow was able to drink to his heart's content and quench his thirst.

Feeling satisfied, the crow flew away, happy and refreshed.

Moral of the story: Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Clever thinking and perseverance can help you solve problems.
